5 days of Mindful Climbing in Siurana and Margalef
Mindful Climbing – Women’s Only is a 5-day climbing camp exclusively for women, combining mindful climbing with mindfulness practices and mental training in a supportive and empowering environment.
A key focus of the camp is understanding how the nervous system responds while climbing. Fear, stress and tension are natural physical reactions. Through mindful climbing, participants learn to recognize these signals, regulate them consciously, and return to a state of calm, focus, and trust.
With guided exercises at the rock, we work on calming the nervous system, becoming aware of automatic reactions, and intentionally shifting between tension and relaxation. This approach supports presence, clear decision-making, and a strong sense of physical and emotional safety — both while climbing and in everyday life.
We climb in small groups and adapt routes and content to individual needs. The focus is not on climbing grades, but on body awareness, self-confidence, and quality of movement.
Dicha
Climbing Instructor, Coach, Yoga Teacher
My goal is to guide each participant one step closer to her individual potential — not just to improve performance, but to discover more ease, joy, and trust in what she does.
At the Mindful Climbing Camp, I create a safe and supportive space where every participant feels seen and cared for. With a calm, patient approach and technical expertise, I guide the camp mindfully and individually.
We are often guided by subconscious and automatic reactions. Through mindfulness and present-moment awareness, we learn to notice these reactions and that gives us the possibility to choose how to respond. This fosters greater agency, self-confidence, and a deeper connection to both climbing and everyday life.
I look forward to sharing my knowledge of mindfulness, somatic nervous system work, and coaching, and to exploring this journey together — supporting each other and growing step by step.

The Connection Between Mindfulness and Nervous System Regulation
While climbing, our nervous system constantly responds to external stimuli such as height, exposure, physical effort, or uncertainty. These reactions are natural and serve to protect us. However, if the nervous system remains in a state of chronic stress, it can lead to fear, muscle tension, rushed movements, or mental blocks.
Mindfulness helps us notice these reactions early. Through conscious breathing, slow movements, and focused attention on the present moment, the nervous system learns to distinguish between real danger and learned stress responses.
In mindful climbing, we use targeted mindfulness exercises to activate the parasympathetic nervous system — the part responsible for calm, recovery, and safety. This can lower heart rate and muscle tension, slow the breath, and keep the body flexible and present.
This regulation provides the foundation for:
-
Greater trust in your own body
-
Improved concentration and decision-making
-
A conscious, healthier relationship with fear
-
Smoother, more efficient movements
Mindfulness isn’t just an extra — it’s a key tool to regulate your nervous system, helping you climb more safely, confidently, and joyfully.
